READING & BRACKNELL WASTE RECYCLING PLANTS

Clugston Construction has appointed Brian Robins Carpentry Contractors to handle carpentry at the new state-of-the-art waste recycling plants in Bracknell and Reading. In addition to the recycling plants, the projects also included waste transfer stations, offices, and a new visitor centre designed to educate local children about the importance of recycling. The carpentry work encompassed a variety of tasks, ranging from high-volume construction in the plant areas to high-quality joinery in the visitor centre. Different teams of carpenters were utilised for each aspect of the project, which was completed on time and within budget.

THE 5 STAR FORBURY HOTEL, READING

Brian Robins Carpentry Contractors were appointed by The Waterbridge Group to carry out carpentry work as part of the redevelopment of the Forbury Hotel. Originally built in 1911 as the Shire Hall for Berkshire County Council, this listed building was transformed into Reading's first 5-star hotel. Despite the extensive refurbishment, many of the original joinery features were carefully restored to their former beauty. While quality was paramount for the client, the project was completed within a tight schedule. Close collaboration with the client's team and active involvement in the detailing helped ensure that these goals were achieved.
